Michael Workmaster
We meet Michael, age eight, called Micky by all. This important Archangel has only recently incarnated once more and his human childhood makes him be temporally at a vulnerable stage. However he was given parents of choice in Walter and Caroline. Both are nurturing and loving him to bits.
Like the Beast, this character is at an early stage at the start of the saga. Unlike her, he was provided with a loving childhood, which makes him a very happy, bouncy kid Being. He has bags of tenderness for everyone which he wears on his sleeve. From his currant human parents, he gathers that loving understanding and open minded acceptance. Faced with a brand new member of the family, called the Beast, and not being an only child anymore, he just takes her hand and shows her what it is to enjoy a bit of childhood. His heart adopts It-666 almost like his father, without question.
Micky is a character who rallies others and unites them by his mere presence or absence. His abduction brings about the strong coalition between the Beast and Raphael’s Angels. They fight together for the first time to retrieve him at all cost.
We know Michael is special but we do not know exactly how at the start of the saga, just like we do not know how the dysfunctional human Walter Workmaster is. They are crucial individuals which are worth saving for they bestow the future of all in their hands. They create unity, spread love like if it was golden butter on any dry heart, filling every hole of the bread with melting goodness. The worst thing they can possibly cause is an heart attack, imposing a rethink on how we deal with others because of politic or religious views. Both characters stand firmly against religious and ethnic cleansing, pure genocide. If his human father constantly voice and plead for love, Michael will fight to establish it once and for all.
Michael is an apocalyptic Archangel who will cull the Beast if it comes to it, however she was found at an early stage of formation, and all have a given chance to turn their fate around, and be really human with a sound heart not a murderous one. It-666 listens and responds to the human love of the Workmasters who accepted her in their split apart family, which works well nonetheless, as a loving unit. They are teaching her to love humanity and Michael will give them a hand doing so. If it is the last call, the last chance, he will be there doing it like his human father. Both are making ‘It’, giving her hope for a better future where she has a fair chance in it like anyone else. Their hearts are loving and all inclusive and the teenage Beast can recover by them. She develops a strong loyalty to them.
What else can I say about Micky? He is a character to watch.
Writing his character has been a little difficult for I know who he becomes in the future. From A to Z, where do you go? His path has similarity to the one of the Beast in an opposite kind of fashion.
However I can answer one question with a straightforward response, Michael is a lovable character, one that makes you hope for a better future like his human father. I was very much inspired by ‘little lord Fauntleroy’ character nearly all my life, and little Micky is a response to it. However the cute sweetness of the character is mixed by the big future the young Archangel has ahead of him as a warrior.
In physical incarnated shape, the human Archangel, with a white father and a coloured mother, is an awesome lovely mix: He is love and what love is made of.
